Opatija Riviera
Kastav is located on the Opatija Riviera, also known as the Riviera of Flowers. It's a splendid 40-kilometer-long coastal area filled with beautiful beaches, lush nature, charming coastal towns, and a mild climate. Early in the 19th century, the Austrian-Hungarian elite settled here and built luxurious winter residences. These villas can be admired along the 11-kilometer-long Lungo Mare, a seaside promenade.
